Bronco Berry Sauce

I found recipes for the Arby's Bronco Berry Sauce, but I don't want to go through that much work.  Here's my plan to "copycat" the recipe without the work of the online recipes I found.  Smuckers Red Raspberry SEEDLESS jam and jalapeno juice from a jar of preserved jalapenos ... add enough juice to get a syrup consistency while cooking the jam ... will let you know the outcome!

Almost a year later ...

Yep, looked at my blog yesterday and saw that it is almost a year ago since I wrote my last entry.  Well, that just goes to show you that "time" stops for no one.  hummmph.   Why not?  Why can't I have more time in my day.  Oh, yeah, we just lost an hour to stupid daylight savings time.  Again, why?  Nevermind, no use dwelling on it and wasting more time on lost time! 

We have had a lot of changes in the last year ... bought property on Lake Coeur d'Alene and a new boat last spring.  Its been a year since that has happened.  A year ago ... wow.  Still no luck on selling the house, but oh well I rather like my house, but it is so big for the two of us.  I keep telling myself, the kids will be back with their kids and we will wish we had a big house all over again.  So maybe its for the best.  Since we haven't sold it, we decided to sort of remodel the master bedroom.  Found great ideas on Pinterest, my newest addiction while watching TV.  Board & Batten is the look.  Will post some pictures of the bedroom soon.  The hubster is close to having it done ... and I can't wait to get to break out the new bedding and curtains!  Well, thats all the time I have for now ...

70 degrees yesterday ... here today ... gone tomorrow!

Yep.  Hit 70.  First time since September, I think.  And its the middle of M.A.Y.  Keep telling myself that its just around the corner ... really it. is.  Optimistic.  Helps that I am heading to HAWAII in a few days for a much needed vaca with my hubby of 25 years (August) and my two GREAT children.  Well, young adults ... my friends now :-]  Worked hard all last night to get the house ready for the realtor's tour.  Still have a lot of things to clean *deeply* but that can wait for now and of course move around.  I am OCD when it comes to decorating.  I often find myself sitting on the couch dreaming of ways I can re-arrange.  Bad habit, but fun nonetheless. 

FINALLY!

So, the weather is finally cooperating.  We have had nothing but rain, snow, sleet, grey, doom & gloom since April 1.  I understand the saying "April Showers bring May Flowers"  but really ... April was ridiculous.  One day of 60 degree weather is not my idea of "global warming"!  I am looking forward to spending eight days in M.A.U.I with my family.  Sooooo looking forward to it!

So its ridiculous that I have not found the *time* to craft, scrapbook, bead, what have you ... I do miss it. It is my "calgon" ... you know the commercial ... "take me away". Since we have purchased a business, it seems as though I am stressed out about all that goes along with business ownership. I just wish I could quit my "real" job and do the books for the business part time and then go and find my "calgon" 8-) ... But unfortunately, my "real" job gives me "bennies" that I would not otherwise have. Five more years, I keep telling myself. Five more years and my baby should have a job with his own "bennies".

It is also ridiculous that I have not blogged for quite some time. What got me going was my LSS (local scrapbook store) is having a "blog hop". I don't think anyone is following my blog ... why would they ... it is never updated, but a 2010 resolution is to try and do this at least once a month ... we'll see if I stick to it. Just like lose 30 lbs resolution I have had for the past 10 years ... haha!

Anyway, I have PAPER-PALS on my links (a few of my faves) so, for those of you who stumble upon my blog in the blogosphere, check out their "blog-hop". If you do any kind of paper crafts, you will want to participate as they are giving away "lots 'o cool" stuff. TA TA for now ... it is almost 11:00 p.m. and I do have a "real job" to go to tomorrow.

One last thing, my dear mother turned 80 last week and she is "spry as a spring chick" ... I love her to death, she lives here and sometimes drive me crazy, but what mother doesn't (hehe). Since her 80th birthday I have been doing alot of pondering and thinking about precious *time*. I have a few quotes and my personal thoughts about TIME I am going to share ... maybe even tomorrow ... AFTER GREYS and PRIVATE PRACTICE. So many people talk about various different (would they be verbs or nouns, I guess depends upon how the word is used) verbs/nouns, but I have rarely seen anyone "talk, blog, twitter, etc. etc." about TIME. Think about it ....

So, we had Nate's Sr. Pix taken last week and had some of the fam taken too. Addison was a pill (of course!) she is a dog and doesn't really know how to listen, but our great photographer got some good ones of her! I am excited to see the rest of the proofs ... we haven't had family photos taken since probably 2003 :( Check out our photographer's website at mtpimages.com. She does fantastic work!

The weather has been HOT HOT HOT and if you read my earlier posts you can probably tell that I really don't care ... after our winter and spring, I am all about warm weather! I finally broke down and turned on the A/C only because my mom was puppy sitting and I didn't want her to be miserable while we were boating on the lake and soaking up the sun.

Went to the Art on the Green in CDA this weekend and didn't have nearly enough time to get through it all but I found a cool glass and copper hanging flower vase ... very fun :)
